About Joffrey

Joffrey B. Degueurce is an IBFI-certified cycling bodybuilder with a decade of experience in this discipline he holds dear; a pioneer in this field, he was the very first IBFI-certified bodybuilder in France. He combines his passion for cycling with an approach based on Aristotelian philosophical fundamentals and rooted in his Catholic ethics and spirituality. As a top-level gravel and track cyclist, he focuses on putting principles into practice to live a virtuous life, guided by his explicit faith and his commitment to always doing what is right. A member of the EDC, he knows that the common good of the city is the natural end of man—he therefore never separates personal and professional ethics: for him, the end cannot justify the means. With unwavering attention to detail, Joffrey aims to help each client achieve a cycling experience where the machine "disappears" beneath them to allow for the full expression of human potential, but also the contemplation of creation leading to the grasp of immutable truths. He openly shares his extensive knowledge to awaken cyclists' interest in the study of their discipline and its integration into the framework of an honest life.

Method and philosophy

Joffrey B. Degueurce's method and philosophy focus on establishing a comprehensive, personalized approach to bicycle fitting that emphasizes the rider's well-being and progress. He is concerned with helping his clients achieve their goals in an orderly and thoughtful manner—themselves defined in accordance with reason—taking into account the demands of their entire lives. He strives to optimize symmetry, posture, and pedaling technique, thereby making cyclists more efficient. Joffrey's approach is refined over time, reflecting the Socratic pursuit of truth, rather than the complacency of mere psychological comfort: "The only thing I know is that I know nothing." Intellectual humility then stands as the supporting wall for the development of thought, and then its conversion into moral action.
